Emma van Schadewijk

Emma van Schadewijk (2003) was the winner of the Third Prize at the National Cello Competition in 2022. Emma has previously been a first prize winner at the Prinses Christina Junior Competition, at the Herman Krebbers Competition in 2015, and at the Britten Competition in 2017.
She started her preliminary studies in 2016 at Artez in Arnhem, studying with Inge Grevink and Rene Berman. Emma has received masterclasses from Pieter Wispelwey , Dmitry Ferschtman, and Gregor Horsch. From 2018 onwards, Emma studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School in England, where she studied with Bartholomew laFolette and Matthijs Broersma. She is currently studying at the Musikhochschule in Cologne with Thomas Caroll.
