On the way to the National Cello Competition 2022

The National Cello Competition is inextricably bound up with the Cello Biennale Amsterdam. After a preliminary round, which took place on 27 June 2022, fourteen participants were admitted to the First Round. One of them is Isaac Lottman, student of the Amsterdam Conservatory. In the run-up to the competition we followed Isaac, were allowed to watch one of his lessons by Pieter Wispelwey and spoke to the jury of the competition. 

The first round of the National Cello Competition will take place on 20 and 21 October, the second round on 25 October and the final on 28 October 2022.
