Violin
Bas Treub (The Hague, 1987) studied at the Royal Conservatoires of The Hague and Brussels with Peter Brunt and Philippe Graffin. He received his Master’s degree summa cum laude in 2013. For many years, he was a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra, where he was concertmaster for his last few seasons.
He has been principal 2nd violin in the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra since 2014 and the concertmaster of Phion since 2023. He has also performed as a guest concertmaster with Philharmonia Orchestra, Orpheus Sinfonia, and the LUDWIG collective.
He plays a French violin from 1891 by Emile Germain, made available to him by the Dutch Musical Instruments Foundation.
