Tarmo Peltokoski
Conductor
The young Finnish pianist and conductor Tarmo Peltokoski (2000) studied piano at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and has performed as a soloist with almost all Finnish orchestras. He started his conducting studies at age 14 with the renowned conducting pedagogue Jorma Panula.
In 2023, Peltokoski was named principal guest conductor of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra for four years. He is also the Artistic Director of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and, from the start of the 2025-2026 season, will be the chief conductor of the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse.
