Larissa Groeneveld

Larissa Groeneveld (1966) graduated in 1990 from the Conservatory of Amsterdam as a student of Dmitry Ferschtman, after which she continued her studies with Natalia Gutman in Stuttgart. In 1988, she founded the Osiris Trio with Ellen Corver and Peter Brunt, with whom she went on to achieve great international success. Her repertoire is broad, spanning from Bach to contemporary composers, some of whom composed for her especially. At the Cello Biënnale, she has given premieres of works by Yannis Kyriakides, Theo Verbey, Martijn Padding, and Mathilde Wantenaar, among others. Larissa Groeneveld is a professor at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague.
