Stephan Braun

Stephan Braun is considered one of the most interesting cellists in the European jazz scene. He has shared the stage with famous musicians such as Melody Gardot, Nils Landgren, Gil Goldstein, Chris Hinze, Don Thomson, Till Broenner, Giora Feidman, and Kristjan Randalu. He studied both classical and jazz cello at the conservatories in Hamburg and Berlin and won the International Jazz Competition in Bucharest with his trio in 2010. Stephan Braun has recorded more than twenty albums, including two albums with his trio and duo. He is currently teaching at the Hochschule für Musik in Berlin and the Anton Bruckner Privat University in Linz.
